i need help wid my char - Guild Wars Forums

First of all i dont know what to be... should i be a W/N or a N/W what are the pros and cons of being a Necro as a prime and what are the pros and cons of benig a Warrior as a prime? i have always had weak chars is there a way to improve my playing so that i dont suck so bad i mean i had a lvl 13 W/mo and it sucked i had all teh skills i was supposed to have at lvl 13 and they all sucked i had like 1 or 2 healing skills and i just couldent stay alive was there something i was doing wrong???can anyone help me? oh and all my chars are PvE chars, so if u post builds please make them for PvE...

Firstly i'd decide what you want to be ranged or melee as this would have the greatest baring on the decision for me.

If you are going ranged i'd go N/W for spells and energy, sould reaping gives you energy back everytime a creature dies near you giving you a little boost every so often.

If you wanted to be a melee character i'd pick warrior due to armour is a lot higher, good at doing damage in general and taking hits, necro skills like vamperic touch and vile touch would be good for a w/n build, plus you could take offering of blood to give a energy boost to casters in between fights as they will most likely be using a fair bit on energy in keeping you alive most of the time.

Sorry not much detail but it's 4am and i'm a bit tired.

Woah run-ons FTW. Necros and warriors are my 2 favorite classes, so i think i can help. About staying alive, where were you fighting. Certain enemies will kick your ass quite badly no matter how good you are, and this game is NOT meant for soloing. You may ahve been fighting enemies could at countering warriors, or enemies that were too high of a level. Assumin you want to make a melee character that can tank i would choose W/N over N/W. The first skill you need to use is palgue touch. It is a gift from god when u get blinded or weakened. To stay alive i suggest Life Siphon, stances, and basicly anything to heal you.

Are you wearing the MAX Armor (85 defense) with max shield? Do you go out with good monk/healer? Do you rush in and agro tons of monsters in the mission? If you are lvl13 warrior with max dmg sword, max armor and doing quests in yacks band or north Kryta, you shall never die unless you try to beat the mission/quest all by yourself. Try to work with Ranger/caster, ask them to lure the monsters and trap them before you charge. This is a coop mission so you need to work with other people.

yeah, I think it's mainly an energy vs armor tradeoff.

It's all preference really, people can't tell you what to play, or how. You need to explore yourself, and deem it worthy/unworthy by yourself, everyone is unique with their playing style <unless it's those repetitive builds for farming ^_->
